You will encounter many problems.  You must be able to quickly and effectively solve them.  You must also develop the ability to see what is and what is not-a-problem.  You will be presented with many obstacles to any change you propose.  Some of these will be presented to you as a problem that prevents the change.  Some times the problem is real.  Some times it is an obstacle set to distract you by some who wishes the change not to occur.  You must recognize the problem behind the stated problem and not be distracted.

 Readings:

Gause and Weinberg “Are Your Lights On?”

 Exercises:
Solve puzzles – all kinds.  Build things – any thing.  Repair things – every thing.  Solve problems alone and solve them in groups.  Then think about how you solved or failed to solve the problem.
