Equation 10.10 is an expression of our ignorance.  Each parameter is something that can only be measured after the meme population has changed and after any change each parameter is subject to change during the next population change.  The only occasion when we might find it useful to simulate an organization or society by using the population dynamics above is during periods of no change or very slow change.  Even then they provide no real insight into the mechanism of spread and no predictions as to which memes will spread and/or compete.  We need an analytic tool that goes deeper into meme dynamics, if we are to find any analytical use for the meme concept.
